Get a motorcycle insurance quote built around your bike, how you ride and what you want to spend. We explain each coverage in plain language before you decide.
A licensed Alberta broker will call you back the same business day with comparison quotes.
No credit check required for a quote
A direct insurer sells its own policy. A broker can place your bike with more than one insurer, so your price and terms are not limited to a single company.
We request quotes through the insurers we work with and show you how the coverage and deductibles differ, not only the price.
Ask what collision, comprehensive or accident benefits would do for you after a crash or a theft. You get a straight answer.
Reach our Edmonton or Calgary office by phone or email when you renew, change bikes or have a question about a claim.
Alberta sets a required base. Everything above it is your choice, which is where a broker earns the call.
Alberta moves to a no-fault Care-First auto insurance system on January 1, 2027. In most cases, injured people will claim care and benefits through their own policy instead of suing the other driver.
Policies renewing on or after January 1, 2027 are rated under the new system. Ask us to review yours before then.
The Alberta rate board has published projections showing a larger average change for motorcycles than for most vehicle types. Your own result depends on you, your bike and your insurer.
The grid that has capped premiums for higher-risk drivers is repealed on the same date. If that affects you, see our interlock and DUI insurance page.
We do not publish a price because no two riders get the same quote. These are the factors insurers weigh when they set your premium.
Pick your situation to see what to raise with your broker.
Insurers look closely at make, model and engine size on sport bikes. Ask about collision and comprehensive coverage, how theft protection and secure storage affect your rate, and which deductible makes sense for you.
Cruisers often carry custom parts and added chrome. Tell us what you have added, and ask how accessories are insured and what proof of value your insurer wants.
Long trips raise a few extra questions. Ask about roadside assistance, riding outside the province, and how passengers and luggage are treated under your policy.
Tell us your licence stage and whether you have finished a rider course. Some insurers reward a completed course, and we will tell you which ones do. A first-year rider can still compare options.
The riding season is short, but the bike is still in your garage in January. Ask what seasonal or lay-up options your insurer offers and which protection stays in place while the bike is stored.
Send the details from the checklist above through our online form, or call us.
We request quotes from the insurers we work with for your situation.
We walk through what each option covers and where they differ.
Pick the policy that fits. We stay available for questions at renewal and when you change bikes.

Yes. Alberta requires insurance on any motorcycle ridden on public roads, whatever the bike and wherever you ride it.
Usually not. A motorcycle is insured under its own policy. We can still look for ways to coordinate it with your car and home insurance.
The new system starts January 1, 2027. Benefits and pricing change, and rate board projections show motorcycles may be affected more than most vehicle types. Ask us to review your policy before it renews.
Your licence details, the bike’s make, model, year and VIN, your riding and claims history, and where the bike is stored.
Some insurers give a discount for a completed course. We can tell you which ones do.
A stored bike can still face theft, fire or damage. Ask us what seasonal or lay-up options your insurer offers and what protection stays on.
